Chip In

VeniceStats — keep it independent

A few Venetians asked how they could chip in. So here's a wallet. The site is free and the same for everyone — chipping in unlocks nothing, it just helps.

The address. It's the VeniceStats project treasury. DIEM is the natural thing to send — it's what the site actually runs on — but any token works.

Nothing to sign up for. In time a wall of patrons will appear here, read straight off the chain — addresses, ENS where it resolves. Until then, the gesture is enough.

Where it goes. It's a short list.

Inference. The big one. The site runs on it — and building it ran on it too: three months in and counting, almost all of that work mediated by a model one way or another. Inside the product there's a constant stream of automated jobs leaning on inference, and a backlog of more we'd add with the headroom. The only real cap is supply — right now it runs on whatever's left over from a personal budget already spread thin across other projects. More inference, more the site does. It's that direct.
Compute. The server that keeps the workers running, the database that holds hundreds of thousands of on-chain events, the RPC reads every five minutes — and the domain that points at all of it.
Time. The part that never shows up on an invoice.

None of it is expensive on its own — well, except the time. Chipping in just makes it steadier; on the inference side it's the difference between what the site does today and what we keep sketching.

On independence. Chipping in eases the running costs and buys nothing else — not a line in the copy, not a number on the dashboard. The data doesn't move for the people who fund it. The longer version is in Lo Statuto.

Grazie.
