I agree with your take but what confuses me the most is that for 10 mentions of $VVV and $SERV by influencers, there is one mention of $TAO. The former could be one of the 128 subnets on Bittensor (in fact there are very serious competitors of those two, like Chutes) and one still hasn’t scratched the surface of the sheer amount of innovation happening in that ecosystem. Let’s be clear - at current prices, $DIEM is worth 4.5 years of free compute, capped at $1 worth of inference tokens a day. The question a holder needs to ask themselves: would I rather lock that amount of cash upfront (and stomach DIEM price volatility in the interim), or pay for my inference on a rolling basis with the risk that inference costs go up over time.
